A meeting of others
Unable to stop the rats from attacking the house, Bhima brought the cat to catch the rats as soon as he saw them.
ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಊರನು ಸೇರಿದ ಇಲಿಗಳು ಹೆದರಿ ನಡುಗಿದವು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದರೆ ಬದುಕೆಮಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುತ ಚಿಂತೆಯ ಮಾಡಿದವು
ಸಣ್ಣಿಲಿಯೊಂದರ ಸಲಹೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಇಲಿಗಳು ಸಭೆಯನು ಸಾರಿದವು ಸಣ್ಣಿಲಿ, ದೊಡ್ಡಿಲಿ, ಮೂಗಿಲಿ, ಸೊಂಡಿಲಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆಯ ಮಾಡಿದವು ||
ಬೆಕ್ಕು ಬರುವುದು ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು
ಬದುಕಬಲ್ಲೆವು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲಾ
ಎಂದಿತು ಮುದಿಯಿಲಿ ಬೀಗುತ ಸಭೆಗೆ
ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ ಉಪಾಯ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲಾ |
ಯೋಚಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿತು ಜಾಣಿಲಿಯೊಂದು ಕಟ್ಟಿರಿ ಬೆಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಗಂಟೆಯನು ಗಂಟೆಯ ಸಪಳ ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸೇರಲುಬಹುದು ಬಿಲವನ್ನು
ಸೊಂಡಿಲಿ ಸೊಂಡೆಯ ಕೊಂಕಿಸಿ ಕೇಳಿತು
ಕಟ್ಟುವುದೆಂತು ಗಂಟೆಯನು? ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಮಾತ್ರಕೆ ಹೆದರಿದ ಇಲಿಗಳು ನಿಮಿರಿಸಿ, ಕುಳಿತವು ಕಿವಿಯನ್ನು
ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಿನಿತೂ ಉಪಾಯ ಕಾಣದೆ ಕರಪರ ಕೆರೆದವು ನೆಲವನ್ನು
ಮ್ಯಾಂ, ಮ್ಯಾಂ, ಸದ್ದನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಇಲಿಗಳು ಭರನೆ ಹೊಕ್ಕವು ಬಿಲವನ್ನು
Tappisikoṇḍu ūranu sērida iligaḷu hedari naḍugidavu sum'maniddare badukemagilla ennuta cinteya māḍidavu saṇṇiliyondara salaheya mērege iligaḷu sabheyanu sāridavu saṇṇili, doḍḍili, mūgili, soṇḍili sabheyalli carceya māḍidavu || bekku baruvudu tiḷidare sāku badukaballevu nāvellā enditu mudiyili bīguta sabhege huḍukiri upāya nīvellā | yōcisi hēḷitu jāṇiliyondu kaṭṭiri bekkige gaṇṭeyanu gaṇṭeya sapaḷa kēḷida kūḍalē sēralubahudu bilavannu soṇḍili soṇḍeya koṅkisi kēḷitu kaṭṭuvudentu gaṇṭeyanu? Kalpane mātrake hedarida iligaḷu nimirisi, kuḷitavu kiviyannu samasyeginitū upāya kāṇade karapara keredavu nelavannu myāṁ, myāṁ, saddanu kēḷida iligaḷu bharane hokkavu bilavannu
